North Bennet Street School Wins Good Neighbor Recognition Award

The NEWRA Clean Streets Committee awarded its August 2010 Good Neighbor Recognition Award to the North Bennet Street School. The monthly award is researched and voted on by committee members and awarded to local businesses and property owners that consistently keep their sidewalks and gutters clean of trash and debris.


Accepting the award for the North Bennet Street School were Miguel Gomez-Ibanez, NBSS President (center), Claire Fruitman, NBSS Associate Director (2nd from right), Andy Glenn, NBSS Resident Superintendent and Woodworking Instructor for the Eliot School (far right). NBSS also asked to credit Custodian Ronald Santos for cleaning the street and gutters (not in photo).

Presenting the award for NEWRA’s Clean Streets Committee were Janet Gilardi (2nd from left) and Nancy Caruso (far left). Also on the sub-committee for the Clean Streets award are Michael Bloomer and Marie Simboli.
