The Mather Family Tomb in Copp’s Hill Burying Ground was recently restored, apparently by descendents of the family famous for their involvement in the early days of Massachusetts history. The tomb holds the remains of Increase Mather, his son Cotton Mather and grandson Samuel Mather. As seen in the photos below, the tomb’s condition is greatly improved.
