North End, Boston – Join Special Guest Chef & Maestra Di Cucina Mary Ann Espostio for a day of cooking demonstrations, recipe sharing, cookbook signings, a North End Iron Chef competition, photo opportunities and live filming of her acclaimed television show at the 91st Anniversary Saint Anthony’s Feast in the North End of Boston.
Join Mary Ann on Saturday August 28th at 6:30 PM for a special cooking class at the Filippo Berio Culinary Stage. Maryann will share her cooking secrets and showcase the culinary expertise that has made her an authority on Italian Cooking.
Maryann is the creator and host of the PBS series, Ciao Italia, television’s longest running cooking show. Over the past 20 she years has been recognized by countless organizations for her efforts to preserve the traditions surrounding Italian food and culture, and has become the doyenne of PBS.
Mary Ann will also be available to sign her newest cookbook: Ciao Italia Five-Ingredient Favorites! – Mary Ann shows the genius behind great Italian food and the simple philosophy of using just a few quality ingredients. In its pages you will learn how to turn just five ingredients into an easy, delicious and economical dish for the family dinner table. Her award winning cookbooks are infused with personal anecdotes, historical background, patient instruction and a great deal of charm harvested from her many years of cooking and travel throughout Italy.
Later in the evening watch out for flying frying pans and quick whisks as Maryann hosts and judges the North Iron Chef Competition at 7:30 PM on the Filippo Berio Stage – come watch as Maryann unveils the secret ingredient and referees this year’s high pressure culinary showdown.
