Friends of Christopher Columbus Park Introduce a New Bulletin Board

The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park have designed, funded and coordinated the installation of a new informational bulletin board at the waterfront park. See the “before” picture to the left and the finished product below. (Click the photos to enlarge.)

The FOCCP members who comprised the Bulletin Board Committee were Frankie Boyer, chair, Ford Cavallari, Meredith Piscitelli, Robyn Reed, and Joann Spitz. North End resident Warren Mustacchio, president of Mustacchio Development Co., installed the bulletin board.

Neighborhood non-profit organizations are invited to send information about upcoming events to info@foccp.org for posting on the new board.

The Friends of Christopher Columbus Park also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the Mariners House at 11 North Square. The House has hosted FOCCP meetings for many years. The certificate is signed by FOCCP President Joanne Hayes-Rines and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. It was presented by Hayes-Rines and Anne Devlin Tagliaferro at their April meeting. Martha Baillagreon accepted the certificate on behalf of the Mariners House.

FOCCP meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Mariners House, 11 North Square. The group currently has a membership campaign going on and welcomes new members of the community. More information is available at www.foccp.org.
