The North End’s Ross Garrity, 13, won Boston’s Spelling Bee on Saturday earning him a trip to the national level competition. Appropriately, the Boston Latin 7th-grader won by spelling “ravioli” as his final word.
Ross is a repeat winner from 2008 in the city’s competition. He is the son of Ilene Gladstone and the late Judge Paul Garrity. Next, it is off to Washington D.C. for Ross in May for the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
