City Forgiving “No Storm” Tickets

The City of Boston is forgiving parking tickets and towing fines from yesterday’s snow emergency (that never happened). City Hall says 3,353 tickets were issued to vehicles violating the parking ban that was in effect from 8am-6pm yesterday.

Those who were given tickets don’t have to do anything since their fines will be automatically deleted from the system. The process for reimbursement of towing fees will be posted on the CityofBoston.gov. Notably, the amnesty only applies for “weather emergency” tickets, not other violations.
