Boston Cares’ Family Volunteer Day at North End’s Eliot School

On Saturday, November 21, 2009, come out and make a difference with families from all over Boston! Volunteers of all ages and their families and friends can participate in the nation-wide Family Volunteer Day program hosted by the HandsOn Network and sponsored by Disney Parks and Fidelity Investments.

Volunteers can make a difference in youth literacy at a project hosted by the John Eliot K-8 School in Boston’s North End neighborhood.
Volunteers will be compiling and decorating Indoor Recess Packets for two elementary schools in Greater Boston. There will be a morning and an afternoon shift and lunch will be provided to all volunteers!

Sign up yourself and bring your family and friends! Girl Scout troops, Boy Scout troops, youth councils, faith-based youth groups and more are all welcome.

Family Volunteer Day will be jam packed with fun times, good food, and community involvement!

This project is for families and individuals of all ages. For more information, please visit www.bostoncares.org and click on Family Volunteer Day.
