The North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) will host its first annual Short Film Festival on Thursday, October 22nd at 7:00pm at the Hard Rock Café Boston located on 22-24 Clinton St. This unique event seeks to attract Boston residents, local artists, filmmakers and students.
The NEMPAC Short Film Festival’s Selection Committee reviewed over 50 films and chose the following seven films as the official film selections for the NEMPAC Short Film Festival: In the Tradition of My Family by Director Todd Davis; Motherly Instinct by Director Selena Coppock; Big Day of Fishing by Director Tim Cawley; Jack & Jill by Director Tim Svenson; I Slept with Cookie Monster by Director Kara Nasdor Jones; Dear Mr. President by Director Rene Dongo; The Audition by Director Arnon Shorr and Witness Protection Program by Director Kevin Anderton. Along with the film screenings, the event will include question & answer sessions with the filmmakers, cast and crew, there will be a special guest appearances from local filmmakers and there will be musical performances.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door for $10 or they can be purchased in advance by calling NEMPAC at (617) 227-2270. All proceeds from tickets sales will go directly toward supporting NEMPAC’s mission of providing affordable arts-related programming to residents of the North End/Waterfront and the surrounding neighborhoods. There will also be a cash bar and full food menu available for purchase.
