Lyndell’s bakery of Somerville has reopened in LuLu’s space on Hanover Street. Lulu’s former baker is their baker. Looks like the same cupcakes! They are not selling coffee or ice cream, though. (Courtesy of North End News)
The “For Rent” sign went up in the Hanover Street storefront previously occupied by Lyndell’s Bakery. The bakery replaced LuLu’s which moved to Salem Street in 2009. Lulu’s Sweet Shoppe has moved to a new storefront at 28 Parmenter Street in Boston’s North End, in the space formerly occupied by Cocoanuts. Owner Sandy Russo is a longtime North End resident and is very excited to bring her famous homemade cupcakes to a larger space with counter seats and plenty of candy, cookies and ice cream too!
