Featuring interactive culinary demonstration and cookbook signing
Saturday, August 24, 2013
Celebrity Chef Mary Ann Esposito, creator and host of the PBS series, Ciao Italia, television’s longest running cooking show will return to the North End for a day of fun and interactive cooking demonstrations, recipe sharing during 94th Annual Saint Anthony’s Feast in the North End of Boston.
Mary Ann will once again take you on a culinary journey as she prepares her favorite dishes and shares her stories of her travels in Italy and growing up in an Italian American home on Saturday, August 24th at 2:00 PM at the Filippo Berio Culinary Stage.
As a little girl growing up in Depew, New York, Maryann watched her two Italian grandmothers create wonderful Italian dishes. Both nonnas, one Sicilian and one Neapolitan, instilled in Mary Ann a deep appreciation for Italian food and culture. It is this affection for all things Italian that Mary Ann shares with her television audience and now with you at this year’s Saint Anthony’s Feast.
Following the demonstration Mary Ann will be signing a limited quantity of her newest cookbook: Ciao Italia Family Classics. Mary Ann returns to her family’s humble beginnings to bring you a treasure trove of more than 200 time-honored recipes. The book will be available for purchase and signing on Saturday afternoon.
St. Anthony’s Feast is one of the oldest and largest neighborhood celebrations in America and is celebrating its 94th Anniversary on August 23 – August 26 in the North End of Boston. For more exciting events and information please visit www.stanthonysfeast.com.
