It was a long, drawn out process at the neighborhood meetings when the new operators at 115 Salem St., formerly Sapori di Napoli, came to transfer the alcohol license for a new cafe / restaurant called Rigoletto. After repeat presentations, the Salem Group, LLC (Nestor Patino) received support from both neighborhood groups, NEWRA and NEWNC, and approval from the Boston Licensing Board.
Now, it looks like a failure to obtain city permits to install the new kitchen, gas, plumbing and electrical has resulted in a Stop Work order posted on the outside window. North Ender, Adam Castiglioni of BHTIB, grabs the photo shown above at the vacant site.
