The City of Boston Archives posted these seasonal throwback photos of the 1974 North End Christmas Parade, originally taken by one of Mayor White’s staff photographers. To the delight of neighborhood children (and adults), Santa flew in from the North Pole by helicopter landing on the North End fields at Puopolo & Langone Parks.
