Huzzah! The USS Constitution will float again on July 23rd after two years in dry dock for restoration. The National Parks of Boston in the Charlestown Navy Yard will celebrate Constitution’s much-anticipated return to the water on Sunday, 7/23 from 9AM to midnight. USS Constitution Enters Dry Dock for Multi-Year Restoration

A barge bearing a heavy-lift crane appeared on the Charlestown waterfront this past weekend. It appears that a new watertight gate/door/caisson is being installed in the dry dock that will be used for the restoration of the U.S.S Constitution.
