6:00PM Toys for Tots Fundraiser. Join The Gilardi Group, a division of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty, and the Divine Design Center at the DIVINE Design Center at 2 Battery Wharf for a Toys for Tots Party, see additional details here.

Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto Is Opening His First Boston Restaurant at Hub Hall

North Station’s only full-service restaurant will be home to Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s Momosan Ramen and Sake once Hub Hall opens to the public early next year, read more on Boston Magazine.

Thursday, December 5

12:30PM Working Session: home rule petition to establish an investor and commercial properties transfer fee. Members of the public are cordially invited to attend, but there will be no public comment period at a working sessions regarding a home rule petition authorizing the City of Boston to establish an investor and commercial properties transfer fee, see additional details here.

5:00PM North End Neighborhood Night. North Street Grille will, once again, be hosting “Neighborhood Night” on the first Thursday of each month with 50% of sales going to support North End Neighborhood nonprofit agency programs, see additional information here.

6:00PM Boston Common Tree Lighting. Join Mayor Martin J. Walsh and guests from the Province of Nova Scotia to celebrate the 78^th Annual Tree Lighting on Boston Common. The 45-foot white spruce tree was donated by Desmond Waithe and Corina Saunders of Chance Harbour, Pictou County, Nova Scotia.

6:00PM North End Public Safety Meeting. Stop by the Nazzaro Center for the North End Public Safety Meeting on the first Thursday of each month.

7:00PM Vauderville: Voice of the City. The West End Museum will be showing the documentary “Vaudeville: Voice of the City”. Exhibit curator Duane Lucia will share a documentary and short video clips portraying the art form and will lead a tour of “The Old Howard Theatre” exhibit, see additional details here.

7:30PM Chanukah: A Cappella Concert at Vilna Shul. Rock out with this holiday-inspired a cappella concert at the Vilna Shul featuring local college a cappella groups including Brandeis University’s Manginah, Northeastern University’s Distilled Harmony, Simmon Sirens, and Boston University’s Kol Echad, see additional details here.

Friday, December 6

1:00PM Friday Film: The Bishop’s Wife (1947). Join the North End Library at 25 Parmenter Street for their Friday Film Series. This week’s film feature will be The Bishop’s Wife from 1947.

5:00PM Holiday Shopping Stroll North End. Over 15 neighborhood shops will be kicking off the holidays with sips, snacks, music and holiday cheer, see additional information here.

6:00PM Tree Celebration at Hanover & Cross Streets. Join the North End Beautification Committee in celebrating the season at the Christmas tree located at the corner of Cross and Hanover Street. St. John School students will be having their bake sale and Santa will be on hand for the kids. Hot chocolate and caroling too!
