The Boston Red Sox won the World Series on Sunday night, beating the L.A. Dodgers by a score of 5-1 in game five. Following the win, President and CEO of the Sox Sam Kennedy alluded to the traditional victory parade falling on Halloween, and on Monday, Mayor Walsh confirmed this plan.
And so it was that the City of Boston hosted a victory parade beginning at Fenway Park, weaving through the city and ending just a few blocks past Government Center on Wednesday, October 31. The parade was complete with players on duck boats, music, confetti and thousands of elated fans.
See photos from the parade below, taken at the corner of Cambridge Street and Somerset Street.
