14-mile dike could protect Greater Boston from sea level rise
After the recent bomb cyclone that caused the sea level to rise and the storm surge effects to leave part of the city, including the North End, flooded – it raised awareness on the various ideas to protect the city. One idea is to construct a 14-mile dike running from Cohasset to Swampscott that could protect greater Boston from sea level rise, Commonwealth Magazine has the full story.

Anniversary of Brinks Garage Robbery. In 1950, Brinks Garage, which at the time was located at 155 Prince Street, was robbed for $2.78 million. The location is now a parking garage at 600 Commercial Street.
