Three Things to Know for Columbus Day!

1. Happy Christopher Columbus Day! Here are the scheduled events:

11:45am Columbus Day Fall Festival at Christopher Columbus Park. FOCCP is hosting a full day of family fun at the Park! Lineup for a short parade around the Park starts at 11:45am by the statue of Christopher Columbus. The parade begins at noon, followed by entertainment that starts at 12:15pm.

5:30pm Pirandello Evening of Song at Filippo’s Ristorante. Delicious Italian buffet dinner and evening of singing old and current Italian and Italian-American songs. Bring your voices. Music provided by the popular Enzo Amara. $30 per person. [Filippo’s Ristorante, 283 Causeway Street].

Mayor Walsh Announces Recipients of Edward Ingersoll Browne Trust Fund Grants

Mayor Martin J. Walsh today announced the recipients of the Edward Ingersoll Browne Trust Fund Grants, which will bring a total of $856,257 to be distributed among eight projects. Included in those grants is $46,350 for the Old North Foundation of Boston.
