A boat docked at an East Boston marina caught fire on Tuesday morning causing flames and smoke to rise over the harbor. The smoke plume is captured here by Dr. Joe Mendola from the North End side.

The event took place at the Long Wharf dock aboard the Majesty, courtesy of Boston Harbor Cruises. Longtime Board Chair, Brian Dacey, received honors as did Board Treasurer Bernie Dreiblatt.
