The Boston Fire Department responded to a fuel leak in Boston Harbor at 1 Lewis Wharf marina on Tuesday morning. The leaky boat was the “Golden Rule III.” A neighbor sends in these photos recalling at least two other similar incidents and saying, “The harbor has come so far in the last twenty years. I hate to see this carelessness.” One Lewis Wharf is the small office building off Atlantic Avenue that was recently sold.

This really makes me mad. I hope he gets fined and charged for the cleanup.
This marina is located on Atlantic Ave. just before it ends and becomes Commercial St. I’m with you, Vinny.
Thanks for clarifying and giving this the light of print. I have seen this slick before. With a boat in the next slip at the time, we could not be sure of the source. Yachting Journal lists the owner as Mark Dente, 37 Baystate Rd., Wellesley Hills, MA 02481, where I would guess he is a very good neighbor. Now he has a chance to be one here as well.
This boat would NEVER pass a Coast Guard inspection. Coast Guard, where are you?
I just spoke with the owner, and this oil or gas leak was not from his current boat.
