USS Constitution went underway on Friday in Boston Harbor to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of D-Day. After leaving its dock at Charlestown Navy Yard, the ship made its way to Castle Island for a 21-gun salute. The cruise will be one of the last before “Old Ironsides” enters drydock for a renovation. July 4th could be the last time the US Navy’s oldest commissioned ship goes underway before its multi-year repairs.
