Robert “Bob” Venuti, a long time political activist who has strived all his life to make the North End a safe and better place to live, was recently sworn in this month as a Deputy Sheriff by Peter Koutoujian, the Sheriff of Middlesex County. Congratulations Bob!

Oysters were reintroduced this morning into Boston Harbor from 601 Commercial Street in the North End by the Massachusetts Oyster Project. Initially, divers placed oyster cages in the harbor and then children distributed 50,000 oysters from boats.
