This video shows the 91st St. Lucy’s Feast in honor of Santa Lucia, Vergine e’ Martire – Protectress of Eyesight, held in Boston’s North End on Monday, August 27, 2012. The annual event is hosted by the Saint Lucy Society on Endicott Street in the North End of Boston. The St. Lucy Society is associated with the St. Anthony Society.
St. Lucy’s Feast began immediately following the closing of the Saint Anthony Feast on Sunday night when the statues of both saints meet. On Monday, a solemn procession honored St. Lucy through the streets of the North End accompanied by a marching band, flower girls and color guard. Entertainment at the feast continued for neighbors with The Reminisce performing the oldies.
