An enthusiastic North End neighborhood crowd turned out for Robert “Bobby” Dello Russo, candidate for Criminal Clerk of the Suffolk County Superior Court. The fundraiser on Monday night at Filippo’s Restaurant was sponsored by State Representative Aaron Michlewitz and brought out plenty of Democratic political firepower including Frank Bellotti, former Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General, Terry Kennedy of the Governor’s Council, Maura Doyle, Clerk of Courts for the Supreme Judicial Court, Mike Donovan, Civil Clerk of Superior Court, City Councilor Sal LaMattina (also running for Register of Probate), among dozens of family and friends.
Dello Russo is running for the Clerk of Courts seat currently held by Maura Hennigan. With no Republican candidate, the two Democratic candidates will see the race decided in the primary on Thursday, September 6, 2012. A lifelong resident of the North End, Dello Russo also owned the Dello Russo and Sons Funeral Home and spent seven years as Superior Court Assistant Clerk Magistrate.
