Now that the Mirabella Pool is up and running for the summer, all of its programs are also getting underway. One of them is swimming lessons for children.
Twice a week, certified Water Safety Instructors are on hand between 9 and 11 am to teach all levels of swimming. There will be two classes each day; the first from 9-9:45 am and the second from 10-10:45, with the first for new swimmers and novices and the second for intermediate and advanced swimmers (there will also be lessons for infants during the first time slot providing a parent or guardian is willing to get in the water with their child). The first date, Friday June 29th , will be used to determine the appropriate class for each child and each subsequent date will follow the system outlined above.
Thanks to support from the North End Athletic Association, the fee is only $5 per child per lesson and you can pay as you go; no full time commitment necessary (participants do not need to be members of the Mirabella pool to register for lessons but must take out a membership if they wish to use the pool at any other time it is open).
