NEAA & NEAD Enjoy Skating at Fenway

Over fifty members of North End Against Drugs (NEAD) and North End Athletic Association (NEAA) were treated to an awesome day ice skating at Frozen Fenway last weekend. Thanks to the City of Boston and the Boston Red Sox Foundation’s Rookie Ball Program, families of both groups were able to skate at four different sessions on either Sunday, January 15 or Monday, January 16. The kids had a fantastic time at Frozen Fenway on these two beautiful winter days!

NEAD also sent about forty family members to see “Frozen Fenway Winter Party On Ice” on Monday, January 16. The ice skating show featured famous figure skaters, including two-time U.S. National Champion Alissa Czisny.

“NEAD appreciates Mayor Walsh for continuing to help us provide fabulous events for our neighborhood children and families,” stated NEAD President John Romano.

The kids loved watching the skaters dance to pop hits throughout the show. Afterward, the NEAD families got the opportunity to meet the skaters, who posed for photos and signed autographs.
