As you may know, Boston is one of 27 cities selected to advance to the next stage of the United States’ FIFA World Cup™ bid process. Local level promotion of the bid is integral to winning the honor of hosting the FIFA World Cup™ in either 2018 or 2022.
The FIFA World Cup™ is the largest sporting event in the world. Hosting the FIFA World Cup™ would not only be a huge boost for the sport of soccer throughout the United States and here in our own region, but also for our tourism industry with the unmatched level of international exposure and visitors this event draws.
