North Ender Toni Gilardi and the Gilardi Group hosted their 19th annual Toys for Tots fundraiser this week at the Divine Design Center, Battery Wharf. SSgt Jonathan Chan of the US Marines attended to thank the group, noting how this large fundraising event came just in time. Toys for Tots donations have been down this year and the Boston location is running low on toys.
Toni Gilardi of the Gilardi Group / Gibson Sotheby’s Realty said, “we are overwhelmed with the generosity of the North End / Waterfront Community, family, friends, and clients. A special thank you goes out to: The Divine Design Center, Carmelina’s , Il Molo, Billy Tse’s, DePasquale enterprises, Galaria Umberto’s, La Summa, J G’s Kitchen, Mikes Pastry, Fantasy Fine Wines, V. Cirace’s & Son, The Golden Goose, Street Magic and The US Marine Corps’ St. Jonathan Chan and Staff. Outstanding job, Thank you ALL!”
New this year was the donated performance by Street Magic, the award-winning acapella group.
All contributions go to support the U.S. Marine’s holiday program for needy children, Toys for Tots. You can still make a contribution to Boston Toys for Tots at this link.
While you’re here … we have a favor to ask.
Now in our 10th year, we are covering more community issues than ever before. We are thrilled that our readership has continued to grow rapidly. And unlike other news sites, we have decided to keep all our posts free and open to all. But, advertising doesn’t bring in enough to pay for reporting or editorial work. We do it because we believe community news is important – and we think you do too. If everyone who reads this site, who likes it, puts in a bit to pay for it, then our future would be much more secure.
