Breaking & Entering – Residential
11/05/19
8:45 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Victim reports she returned home this evening and found her Prince St. residence had been broken into. There was no sign of forced entry and victim stated she leaves her rear door to the apartment unlocked. Stolen from the apartment was a jewelry box containing watches, earrings and a ring. Detectives to follow up.
Victim stated ” she leaves her rear door to the apartment unlocked” Hopefully not any more! You have got to be kidding me?
I have seen prowlers going through the neighborhood all day, every day. Some make several passes and start trying doors. No unlocked door is safe, neither front or back. Same with Windows. It’s hard to believe, but your place is being observed regularly and constantly.
Junkies not being gainfully employed have a lot of time on their hands. When people decide to live in a city they have to get street smart . Leaving doors unlocked is just plain stupid!
