Boston Community Collaborative Gets Kids on the Court for Celtics Game

Boston Community Collaborative (BCC) coordinated amazing on-court opportunities for one hundred lucky kids at the October 30th Celtics game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Fifty kids participated in the Anthem Buddies opportunity. The kids get to line up in front of the two teams right on the court for the singing of the National Anthem. The Celtics dance team members were nearby on the court and were all dressed up in fantastic Halloween costumes.

Fifty different kids participated in the halftime high-five tunnel. The tunnel is made up of two lines of kids who the players high-five as they run out of the locker room after halftime.

The kids were very impressed to be down on the court, to see the HUGE players up close, and to be mixed right in with the excitement of the pregame and half time on-court action.

The game was an exciting one – a rematch of last year’s conference semifinals when the Bucks ended the Celtics’ season in five games. The Celtics were down 58-42 at the half and came back to win 105-116.

BCC is thrilled to be able to facilitate such cool opportunities for kids! For more information on BCC after school courses, activities for babies and toddlers, and community events, contact becca0923@yahoo.com.
