Neighborhood Photo: Official Pumpkin of Boston

The Boston Public Market has unveiled its fifth annual official pumpkin of Boston. Weighing in at 1,300 pounds, the pumpkin has been coined the “Pumpking” and is accompanied by a 600-pound “Pumpqueen.”

The pumpkins arrived via forklift on Monday morning. They are donated by Market vendor Red Apple Farm of Phillipston, MA, and their friends and fellow farmers Art Kaczenski of Erving, MA and Angela and Eric Amato of Greenfield, MA. The pumpkins are now on display in the southeast corner of the Market.
