Middle school students from the Eliot School in Boston’s North End placed in both the individual and team components of the 2019 Boston Middle School Cross Country Championships last week.
Hosted by the Boston Athletic Association at Franklin Park, more than 300 middle school student-athletes from the City of Boston competed over a 1.1-mile course. The Eliot School team, comprised of 16 middle schoolers in grades 6-8, won second place overall among 16 schools!
The Eliot relay team (Eliza, Amaya, Ian, and Adam) also placed second overall. In the girl’s division, Amaya (Grade 7) placed 3rd and Eliza Grade 6) placed 4th among 142 runners. In the boy’s division, Max (grade 6) placed 13th out of 188 runners.
