Monday’s Brief: Pats Win, Pressley Visits Battery Wharf Strikers, Parcel 2 Park Open House, Zumba, NEWNC Meeting

6:00PM Greenway Parcel 2 Park Design Second Open House. Community members are invited to participate in an open house at the Courtyard by Marriott Boston Downtown/North Station, which is intended to narrow down the programming options for the site, see additional details here.

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley Joins Battery Wharf Hotel PIcket LIne

Pressley was on-site at Battery Wharf for the second day of the strike by Local 26 union workers. The strike is attracting broad attention, coming after last year’s 46-day strike by Marriott workers that resulted in a big win for the union in terms of wages, job security and worker rights.

  1. Waiting for a politician brave enough to hold the strikers accountable to the law, 1. Exceeding the noise ordinance law of over 70 decipals at any time. 2. Get off private property. Yes battery wharf is a private way and protesting on private property is illegal. 3. Disturbance of the peace in our neighborhood… heckling me every time I come and go from my home…
