Weekend Brief: Groundwater Levels Return to Normal, Madonna Della Cava Feast, Bootcamp, Family Fun Festival, Friday Films

Today is Friday, August 9 and a ferry hasn’t run out of Lynn’s Blossom Street terminal to bring commuters to Boston in over two years. According to Lynn Mayor McGee, waiting a few more years until the Tobin Bridge project is complete may be too long for Lynn residents, read more on the Boston Globe.

Groundwater Levels Returning to Normal

After a very rainy spring, the groundwater levels have returned to normal, mitigating damage to city infrastructure. When these levels drop due to heavy rain and snowfall each year, it could be potentially dangerous and damaging for the buildings supported by wood pilings around the city, read more from The Boston Guardian.
