Boston Pride Parade [Photo Gallery]

The 2019 Boston Pride Parade celebrated its way through the city’s streets this past weekend, beginning in Copley Square and ending at City Hall Plaza.

This year’s parade saw a record 431 marching groups, up from 352 last year. According to the Boston Pride website, 55% of the groups were non-profit / grassroots organizations and 44% were business groups. In addition to confetti and balloons, the parade also had 54 floats.

The central theme of this year’s Boston Pride is Looking Back, Loving Forward. The parade recognized the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and aimed to spread a hopeful message for the future. Photographer Gerri Palladino was on hand, capturing the Boston Pride Parade celebrations in the album below.
