The North End Athletic Association (NEAA) will hold its annual Youth Majors All-Star Game on Saturday, June 22 at 6 p.m. at Dom Campochiaro Field at Langone Park on Commercial Street.
This year the two all-star teams will be named after two former NEAA volunteers from the 1960s and 1970s – Rocky Rossi and John “DA” DeAmato – for their years of volunteer service to the youth of the North End and the NEAA.
“We hope that past players, friends and neighbors will come out to join the NEAA in honoring these two gentlemen who served the community for many years,” stated NEAA Sports Coordinator John Romano, who played for Rocky Rossi when he was only 9 years old back in 1972.
As part of the All-Star Game celebration, the NEAA will provide pizza, soft drinks, snacks, face painting, a balloon artist and Italian slush for all those attending.
After the game, NEAA Commissioner Ralph Martignetti will give out the MVP awards for the game as well as special awards for the 2019 season including trophies to the championship winner and medals to all the players.
