9:00AM Love Your Block Cleanup Day. Spring is on it’s way and the Love Your Block Spring Cleanup will take place in the North End and West End on Saturday May 4th.Register yourself or your group here so the City can bring enough equipment. North Enders are meeting at 9am at the Nazzaro Center.
10:00AM West End Museum Honors Jane Jacobs. Join the West End Museum for their free, public event: Jane’s Walk at The West End Museum. This event invites visitors to see Jane Jacobs’ lecture at Boston College in which she discussed what happened to the West End under urban renewal and the injustices suffered by the neighborhood’s residents, see additional details here.
11:00AM Food Truck Festival on Greenway. The Greenway Spring Truck Festival sponsored by Citizens Bank takes place at Rowes Wharf Plaza on The Greenway. Food trucks will be offering old favorites and new flavors.
12:00PM Christopher Columbus Park Playground Celebration. Join the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park (FOCCP) for their annual playground celebration and clean-up in preparation for the summer season.
