The North End Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 144 held its annual service on Memorial Day. Honoring the North End’s fallen, ceremonial stops were made at the the VFW plaque on the Paul Revere Mall (Prado) and the Iraq/Afghanistan memorial at Old North Memorial Garden.

VFW Presents Charitable Endowments
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), North End Post 144, presented this year’s charitable endowments at the January 14th meeting of the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA). Awards with checks of $1,000 were presented to the North End Athletic Association, the Nazzaro Community Center and the North End Health Center.
