Bob Somerville captured this sign of spring on the Rose Kennedy Greenway at the corner of Milk Street and the John F. Fitzgerald Surface Road. With it, he shares a story about his good friend Chengdu from China:
Chengdu came to Boston to study landscape architecture and urban design. China’s big cities are densely populated, and so much of the population seeks refuge in the mountains and countryside when time allows. This has taught Chengdu the calming presence of nature. Her love of nature has inspired Bob to look at every flower now as a gift, especially here in the city.
