During the weekend of the Boston Marathon, April 11 to 15, come on down to Faneuil Hall Marketplace to take photos with the Marketplace’s version of the famous Boston Marathon finish line.
The replica of the finish line will be set up outside of the West End of Quincy Market, perfect for a selfie. The 123rd Boston Marathon will take place on Patriot’s Day on Monday, April 15, 2019. Runners start their race in Hopkinton and weave their way through Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton, Brookline and ending the 26.2 with a right on Hereford St. and a Left on Boylston St in Boston’s Back Bay.
Also commemorating the Boston Marathon and to welcome Spring, for the sixth year, the Marathon Daffodils volunteer group has planted over 130,000 daffodil bulbs along the Boston Marathon route. On Friday, April 12, volunteers will be at Faneuil Hall Marketplace distributing daffodil plants to Faneuil Hall Merchants and also placing them across the property in an effort to honor Boston Strong.
