North End Athletic Association Cheers on the Celtics

The North End Athletic Association (NEAA) sent 20 players and family members to the Celtics game vs the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, March 24.

While the Celtics did not play a very good game, the NEAA players and their families had an awesome time. For some of the younger attendees, it was their very first Celtics game! This was the third Celtics game of the year for the NEAA, as part of the many events that the association runs for the youth and families in our programs. The NEAA is planning on going to two or three Red Sox games over the upcoming season to cheer on the defending World Champions!

NEAA baseball programs have also just started for the spring and already we have over 150 players registered from ages 4 to 21. We look forward to another great season down at the parks on Commercial Street, and are very excited to have the entire sports complex area renovated by Mayor Walsh and the Boston Parks Department starting in late June. We cannot wait for the new fields which will allow NEAA to increase our offerings to include sports such as flag football and full-size soccer games. There will also be accessible bocce courts, a new playground and more.
