The National Braille Press (NBP) will host a children’s braille book reading at the North End Library featuring North End resident and Boston Marathon runner Erin Connors on Tuesday, April 2 from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Connors ran the Boston Marathon for NBP in 2013, but was unable to finish due to the bombings. She is now returning to the course in support of NBP in 2019.
Connors will participate in this book reading event where she and a braille reader will read from the children’s books Grumpy Monkey and Mahnji Moves A Mountain to raise awareness for braille literacy. She will also talk about her experience running in the Boston Marathon for the NBP.
