This is your opportunity to learn about the dramatic history of Ellis Island from many viewpoints ranging from the immigrants themselves to the officials, interpreters and social reformers of the day. Maybe your parents or grandparents passed though Ellis Island on their way to living in the North End!

Vincent J. Cannato, author and Associate Professor of History at UMass Boston, will share his insights about Ellis Island as he discusses his 2010 book, American Passage: the History of Ellis Island on Wednesday, March 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the North End Branch Library.
