Local business owner Kristin Van Busum, Founder and CEO of Project Alianza, was honored as a finalist of the Cleary Insurance Boston Business Risk Award, recognizing her success in providing education for children in the rural coffee communities of Latin America.
Project Alianza, headquartered in Boston’s North End, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to education for children who live in remote coffee-growing communities. By collaborating with corporations, philanthropists and coffee estate farms, Project Alianza builds and develops schools and helps kids break the cycle of poverty.
