The award was presented by C.A.S.IT President Giaconda Motta, Italian Consul Education Officer Professor Adamo Castelnuovo, and Eliot School Principal Traci Walker Griffith.

Dr. Giuseppe Giangregorio and his brother, Fernando Giangregorio, own the Green Cross Pharmacy on Hanover Street in the North End. Principal Griffith said the Eliot School is thankful to have the two as partners saying, “[they] have been ultimate supporters of the Eliot School over the years.”

C.A.S.IT is a non-profit educational and professional organization that promotes Italian language and culture in public and private schools in New England. It was founded in 1995 following a proposal by the Italian Consulate General of Boston.

  1. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful neighborhood drug store. Fred, Pepe and Rachele have helped so many North Enders over the years first with the Roma drug store on Salem Street and now with Green Cross on Hanover.
    Salute e’ cent’anni.
