St. Lucy Society Hosts Halloween Party at the Italian Home for Children

St. Lucy Society hosted a sBOOtacular pizza party for the kids at the Italian Home for Children on Halloween 2018.

Several Saint Lucy Ladies made the trip to the Home located in Jamaica Plain, bringing with them treats from the North End. Nearly three dozen children staying at the Home enjoyed pizza from Parziale Bakery, and cupcakes and cookies from Mike’s Pastry. Each child also received their very own bag filled with treats and trinkets including a new toothbrush and toothpaste, which many considered the “trick” in trick-or-treat!

This is one of many events Saint Lucy Society sponsors throughout the year at organizations focusing on helping children and the blind. This Christmas they will host a toy drive for kids at the Home. In the spring, the Society brings Easter baskets to the children and also sponsors an Easter egg hunt at the Perkins School. In September, the Society organizes a back to school book bag drive to make sure children have the proper supplies to start the school year off right.

Saint Lucy Society thanks Mikes Pastry, Parziale Bakery and their many supporters for helping make the Halloween party such a special day for the children.
