North End Youth Hockey Community Chat at Neighborhood Council Meeting

Brett Roman and Mike Pergola led a community chat at the November Neighborhood Council meeting about the North End youth hockey program, which is beginning its seventh winter season at the Steriti Rink on Commercial Street.

The 15-week program is $375 per child and runs from mid-November to mid-March every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. at the Steriti Rink on Commercial Street.

The first year there were about 12 kids participating and now they cap out at 40 participants. Many of the children move on to play for various select hockey teams. The program also receives support from many local businesses including Mike’s Pastry, Rep. Aaron Michlewitz, Filippo’s, North End Athletic Association and more.

They are always look for more kids to participate and more sponsors to get involved. For information, email Mike Pergola at mikepergola@hotmail.com or call 617-828-4929.
