Library Hosts The Jack Volpe Project to Rousing Ovation

On October 24th, in honor of Italian Heritage Month, The Jack Volpe Project performed songs of Italian crooners Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett at the North End Branch Library. The band consisted of Jack Volpe Rotondi on vocals, Brian Fitzpatrick on piano and Nat Simpkins on saxophone and bass. Approximately 35 people attended. Read More…

Italian Flag Raising at City Hall Plaza [Photos]

In honor of Italian Heritage Month, the Flag of Italy was raised at Boston City Hall on Friday, October 11. Despite the rain, government officials, Italian neighbors and others came out to celebrate the flag raising, part of Italian Heritage Month. Photographer Gerri Palladino was on hand to capture all the excitement.
