108th Fisherman’s Feast Comes to North, Fleet & Lewis Streets August 16-19

The 108th Fisherman’s Feast in Honor of La Madonna Del Soccorso Di Sciacca is scheduled for Thursday, August 16 through Sunday, August 19, 2018 in Boston’s North End at North, Fleet and Lewis Streets.Opening ceremonies start at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night where the statue of La Madonna Del Soccorso will leave her permanent chapel on Lewis Street for a solemn procession to Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park for the Annual Blessing of the Fishing Waters.

There will be music throughout the Fisherman’s Feast. On Saturday, the first annual meatball competition take places from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday is the Grand Procession through the streets of the North End where the statue of La Madonna Del Soccorso Di Sciacca is carried and accompanied by marching bands and floats.

Capping it all off, the famous “Flight of the Angel” takes place at 8 p.m. on Sunday night. This year’s Flying Angel is Sophia Fialkosky, with side angels Victoria Carregal and Mia Graffeo.
