WHAT: The Fisherman’s Feast will find the North End’s best meatball during their first ever Meatball Competition on Saturday, August 18. Happening at their 108th Annual Feast, North End restaurants are invited to compete with the hopes of winning ‘The North End’s Best Meatball’. Meatballs must be homemade and cannot be accompanied by any sides other than traditional “grated cheese” and “sauce or gravy”.
Each meatball will be judged by the attendees of the feast on taste alone and restaurants should be prepared to provide at least 200 meatballs cut into sample size for this tasting. The top five meatballs will move on to the special guest culinary judge’s panel where a whole meatball will be graded on quality, texture, and taste. The winner will be presented with the North End Fisherman’s Feast Best Meatball trophy, featured in all media around the feast, and eligible for other prizes.
Applications for participation are due by July 30th.
