Super Yacht Watch: John Henry’s “Elysian” Docked in Boston Harbor

We have been a bit delinquent in our seasonal summer yacht watch. Fortunately, eagle-eyed resident Bob Skole caught us up to date by spotting two super yachts docked at Commercial Wharf, Boston Yacht Haven. Both boats are about the same length as Old Ironsides, USS Constitution, which everyone knows is 63.1 meters from the billet head to the taffrail (although overall length is much longer, 93 meters).

For the Summer 2018, Boston Globe and Red Sox owner, John Henry, has anchored his Elysian in Boston Harbor, a 217 foot yacht built in 2014. The Elysian has a crew of 17 and can host 12 guests in six cabins. For amenities, it features a helicopter landing pad, gym and infinity swimming pool with a jacuzzi. It’s estimated value is $90 million. Also seen earlier in the season was the Ice Angel, coming in at 197 feet.

Neither is available for charter, so you are out of luck if you wanted to go out for a bit of striper fishing.
